The project ‘Hidden in Plain Sight’ is an ongoing body of work consisting of self portraits currently taken over the course of several years. I began this project as an experiment, wondering what effect the camera would have if I turned it around and focused on myself. With my physical self as the direct object, as a way of self exploration, I am attempting to communicate with myself through my photographs. The images serve as reflections of a reality I am trying to avoid whilst also consciously looking for the confrontation. A confrontation mainly with my own thoughts and insecurities.
